William Eustace LeVeque

William E. LeVeque was born in Munising on May 25, 1961. He received his early schooling in Munising schools and graduated from Mather High School in 1979. He enrolled as a student in the Northern Michigan University Skill Center for Industrial and Domestic Electronics. He went on to Study at Lansing Community College, Michigan State University and Northern Michigan University in Liberal Arts, Computer Programming and Criminal Justice.  He created in 1989 a business of his own, Alternate Electronics, which eventually became Great Lakes Cyber Sites. He served as Board member of the Alger County Fair and on the Alger County E911 Committee, Cusino Prison Community Liason, Munising Township Constable, Past President and Treasurer of the Munising Educational Support Personnel Association for over 15 yrs. He is a High Priest, and served as High Councilor, Branch President and Bishopric Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He became an Amateur Extra Class Radio Operator (WB8Q) at the age of 16, and has served as a Military Auxiliary Radio Service operator for over 11 years. He has worked for Munising Public Schools since 1982 as Bus Driver for 10 yrs and Building Maintenance for the 27 yrs, and semi-retired in 2017 moving back to driving School Bus. In Summer you can find him transporting Kayakers for Uncle Ducky Outdoors in the PRNL. On February 13, 1982 he married Angela Marie Casper. They were blessed with one daughter Stephanie. He was raised as a Master Mason in Grand Island Lodge No. 422 on April 16, 1983 and immediately became active as an officer and in 1989, 2017 and 2018 served with distinction as Worshipful Master. In due time he sought membership and was exalted to the Royal Arch Degree in Marquette Chapter No. 43, greeted in Marquette Council No. 72 and Knighted in Escanaba Commandery No. 47. He was also a Scottish Rite Mason, having been proclaimed a 32° Sublime Prince in Francis M. Moore Consistory in Marquette, Michigan on October 1985. He served as Sovereign Prince of Lake Superior Council, Princes of Jerusalem from 1990-1992. In 1996 he received the Scottish Rite Meritorious Service Award, and in Philadelphia on August 31, 2010 was Coroneted at 33° Sovereign Grand Inspector General, Honorary member of the Supreme Council, N.M.J. He also served as Divan officer of Ahmed Temple of the Mystic Shrine and holds membership in the Upper Peninsula York Rite College, St. Bonaventure Conclave Red Cross of Constantine and Munising Chapter No. 424 O.E.S and many other appendant organizations. He was elected Worshipful Grand Marshal of the Grand Lodge of Michigan in May 2008 in Detroit. He annually progressed and he was elected Most Worshipful Grand Master in Grand Rapids on May 21, 2014.
